Next Thursday 12/16, we will once again grace the stage(actually, the floor in front of the brew tanks) @ Red Tank Brewing in Red Bank, NJ. The Forest Puppies open @ 8:30 p.m., and we play @ 9:30. Come one, come all.

Wouldn't that be something???

This is also a special show as it will the the finale for both Chris and Dave, who will say goodbye and become Council alumni following the show's conclusion.

It's 2020 and the band heads back on the road!



Saturday Jan 11th, we will venture back to to Pottsville, PA. After the festivities at Winterfest, head over to HUCKLEBUCKS and warm up with some rock and roll!  We will will be sandwiched in between hometown rockers the MARGIE TRICK and GLEASONS DRIFT. Showtime starts at 5.

On Friday, January 17th at 8:00pm, we will be at the legendary STONE PONY in Asbury Park, NJ with our JEM lablemates, The Weeklings.

Greeting from Council Land! Though it has been quiet few weeks, fear not! We are feverishly planning the next leg of the Worlds Collide Tour and have some shows coming up soon; in January, in fact!  Details to follow!


In the meantime, there are still copies of the Limited Edition Worlds Collide spatter vinyl available! It really makes for a great holiday present! Get it at gigs, or here, at or a Best Buy near you.

Things are brewing in Council-towne! Finishing touches on our next release are are being applied at The House of Vibes and we are super excited about what we are hearing. Hey folks! Here's what's happening in Council Land for the rest of the year:

We are working on finishing our new record. The home stretch is in sight, but damn, this last bit is tough. It'll be worth the wait, we can assure you.

With that in mind, there will be no full band shows until summer 2018. HOWEVER, Peter will be playing solo at the following places in December...

We promised big band news, so here it is!

On September 15th, we are going to be playing at historic Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. Our gig will be part of the Hard Rock Cafe's Friday Night Concert Series before the game vs. the Baltimore Orioles! Join us at the concert stage from 5:15 to 6:15pm in the new Outfield Experience area (behind right field) for some ROCK & ROLL, Council style!!!

Council update:  

Greetings! It has sure been a while. The band has been busy as bees at the House of Vibes tracking our next release. Things are sounding especially awesome and we are excited to have it out by the end of this year, early 2018 the latest.  In the meantime, the band has been playing sporadic shows in between recording which feature  new material from the forthcoming LP as well as "hits" from our last release on Jem Records, Assorted Colours.  If you've been wanting to see the band, you will get a chance next Thursday, August 10th at 7:00pm. We will be appearing with our friends, The Grip Weeds on the boardwalk in Belmar, New Jersey for a live rock show with sea, sand, sun & surf! Head over to the shows page for more details.

Kids! The band is pleased to announce we have become part of the VEVO family. Our video for the latest single "Magical" from Assorted Colours has been added to the VEVO site and has been syndicated to YouTube as well. 

October 10th 2016:

The Anderson Council packs up the roadshow and heads out tomorrow, down the Turnpike, to Washington, DC. We will visit the Loft Studios, Channel 30 Sirius/XM, where we will be recorded for "The Loft Sessions" which will air at a later date. More info to come!!!

September 12th 2016:

What a fab time we had last Saturday at the Haverford Music Festival in good ole Havertown, Pennsylvania. We met a lot of nice people and the other musical acts were delightful!


Onward to this week... On Friday 9/16 we return to our home away from home at Pino's in Highland Park, NJ. Joning us will be Mr. Payday and Rock and Roll Hi Fives. Show begins at 8pm!

September 1st 2016:

We have a busy month of September filled with music. Here is our next 2 weeks at a glance!


On Friday 9/2,  we​ get to hangout live, in studio at WRSU Overnight Sensations Show! Aside from a chat, we will be plugging in and delivering some of the tracks from Assorted Colours, LIVE in living audio colour. 

On 9/3, We will be gathering in Westfield, New Jersey to shoot a video for our next single, "Magical" with DAVID URBANO of Vivalahara. Be on the lookout for that soon...

Lastly, on 9/10, we will travel to Haverford, PA to headline the Sixth Annual Haverford Music Festival alongside Lisa Loeb, The Figgs and Sasha Dobson. More info here:

We are pleased to announce that the band will be making our return to Maxwell's on Friday, May 20th at 8:00pm in Hoboken (1039 Washington Street Hoboken, NJ 07030). We will be sharing the bill with the Matt O'Ree Band.

It's official! Assorted Colours has a finalized release date of July 15th, 2016! Tracklist will be forthcoming soon...


In other news, our entire catalog is being remastered by Kurt Reil over at the House of Vibes. We had to pull the old versions from both Spotify and iTunes. So while they are gone, you can head over to our MEDIA page and spin all of your favorite tunes to tide you over...



March 2016:

As spring 2016 is upon us, we have some wonderful news that the group has been itching to reveal. We are proud to announce we have recently signed an agreement with Jem Records and our first release, Assorted Colours is being finalized right now and will be unleashed onto the scene in summer 2016.


Assorted Colours will be a band retrospective featuring catalog classics, B-Sides and four newly recorded, unreleased tracks. More info to come in the future... Stay tuned!
